Episode 03: Body, Soul, and Spirit

Matt 22:37-39 (NKJV) Jesus said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”

God tells us that we can’t live according to our feelings...In a world that idolizes our feelings and opinions God says the opposite... it’s not that He doesn’t care how we feel it’s just that He doesn’t want our feelings to inhibit Gods plan. In a society that is highly emotively conscience it is important to KNOW the WORD of God in order to submit our feelings to His will and also not turn them completely off without acknowledging them.

Matthew 26:36-39 (NLT) He told them, “My soul is crushed with grief to the point of death. Stay here and keep watch with me.” He went on a little farther and bowed with his face to the ground, praying, “My Father! If it is possible, let this cup of suffering be taken away from me. Yet I want your will to be done, not mine.”

Jesus acknowledged His feelings yet still CHOSE the will of the Father.
